On December 4-5, 2014, a seminar titled “Transition to the Use of Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources: World Experience and Work Carried Out in Azerbaijan and Prospects” was held at the Resource Center of IDEA located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organized by the IDEA Public Union.

Representatives of IDEA are currently undergoing ranger training at the Southern African College of Wildlife.

On April 16, with the participation of the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, as part of the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World," an event to plant trees was held on a vacant lot near the intersection of Mikail Aliyev and Kamil Balakishiev streets in the Nizami district of the capital.

At the initiative of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association, Leyla Aliyeva, yards housing more than 2,200 residents within multi-storey buildings have been landscaped and made accessible to the residents, as part of the Green World Solidarity Year. These yards are located at the following addresses: Baku, Khatai district, Rakhib Mamedov Street, numbers 4, 4a, 15q, and Javanshir Street, numbers 7 and 9.

As part of the Green World Solidarity Year, on April 5, at the initiative of the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva, another сourtyard was opened as a part of the Our yard project. This project, aimed at improving yards in need of repair, has become available to residents. The renovated yard includes multi-storey buildings with 820 residents, located at the following addresses: Baku city, Sabunchu district, Bakhmanov settlement, Sulh Street, blocks 4090/94, houses 3, 1/1, 2/7.

In the spirit of the Year of Solidarity for a Green World and COP29, initiated in 2021 by the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva, the Young Beekeeper"project launches this year in Gabala. Aimed at fostering beekeeping among youth and young families, the project provides comprehensive training and necessary equipment to 20 families after completing a one-month course.

The International Earth Hour 2024 event took place in Baku on March 23 with the support of the Public Association "Regional Development" and the Youth Movement CAVAN, in collaboration with the IDEA Public Association and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) as part of the Year of Solidarity for a Green World. The mass event, dedicated to this occasion, gathered participants at the Heydar Aliyev Center Park, where a solemn switching off of outdoor lighting occurred at 8:30 p.m. Participants joined in setting up the "60+" symbol of the campaign with candles and enjoyed an entertaining program, including engaging contests and LED lantern shows. Hundreds of young people joined the event, showcasing their support for environmental protection and taking part in exciting activities related to the upcoming COP29 international event planned to be held in Azerbaijan this year.

IDEA together with Ekol Engineering Service emptied battery container at the British College Azerbaijan and delivered them to a utilization site.

Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva took part in the opening of the yard, as well as in the tree planting campaign held as part of the event. During the event, which took place on the eve of the New Year holiday, a festive evening was organized for the young residents of the landscaped yard, and festive gifts were presented. The celebration, filled with a musical and entertainment program, created a pleasant festive mood for the children and gave them moments full of joy.
